A young Athlete plays for a school, a rugby club and a football club, and none of them talk to each other. Their record does. Not because we share it, but because the Athlete owns it and chooses to.
The head knock nobody passed on
She takes a bang to the head in a PE lesson on Thursday. School logs it. Nobody rings the rugby club, because nobody ever does.
Saturday, her rugby coach opens the squad and it is there.
The return-to-play protocol gets followed, because the person who needed to know, knew.
The week that was too much
Sports day Tuesday. Two rugby games Wednesday and Saturday. Two training sessions in between. Each coach only sees their own bit, so each one thinks it was a normal week.
Together it is not a normal week.
Her coaches can see the load, so somebody pulls the intensity down before something tears.
None of that works if the record belongs to a club, because clubs do not share with each other. It works because it belongs to the Athlete, and travels with them.

No club bill, no per-member charge. A club runs everything free, and every coach gets the development frameworks with it: 47 sports, seven levels from Play to Pro, with the focus areas, confidence signals and coach actions already written.
A development plan belongs to the person it is about. A framework is a curriculum, so it belongs to whoever runs the session. A plan is a record of one person, so it lives in their own account at £4.99 a month: an Athlete, a parent covering up to three children, or a coach who wants the session planner, ALEX personalisation or a record of their own. We never bill a club per member. A club or academy can choose to cover it for its members and fold it into their fees, and plenty do. It is still their member’s account, in their name, and it goes with them when they leave.
